at a glance

Avignonet-Lauragais marks the beginning of Boralex’s wind energy operations in France. In 2002, the installation of 10 wind turbines on the site launched our activities in the country. The site has since undergone two major developments: the addition of 2 turbines in 2008, followed by the installation of a solar park at its center in 2011, making it the first hybrid energy production site in France. Avignonet-Lauragais also hosts the maintenance center of the same name, as well as an exhibition building on renewable energy, managed by the Lauragais Tourist Office.
