As a Purchasing Technician, you contribute to the acquisition or leasing of goods and services that meet Boralex’s needs. You will report to the Senior Manager, Inventory and Operational Procurement.
⚡ Your key responsibilities will include:
- Create and process purchase orders based on approved requests
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure stock availability
- Conduct procurement needs analysis using MRP, SAP, and Maximo software
- Coordinate logistics with suppliers and internal clients
- Perform tracking and control tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards and procurement processes
- Update and generate information related to the daily management of purchasing and supply activities
- Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Strategic Sourcing) to align procurement activities
- Work with the team to ensure purchasing aligns with the strategic plan
- Participate in identifying and proposing opportunities for process improvement
Note: This position may require occasional rare travel within North America.
💡 To succeed in this role, you should have:
- College diploma (DEC technical program or AEC)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP, MRP, and Maximo
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated professional rigor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach
