The project is located at a place called "Plaine de Jouatas" in the commune of Saint-Pierre-de-Lecriac (47270), to the southeast of the Lot-et-Garonne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, just twenty minutes by car from the city of Agen. It extends over a fenced area of 13.06 hectares.
The site is located on a plateau, called 'pech' in local toponymy, surrounded by a wooded setting composed of trees with high jets. It is located at the confluence of two valleys, in an area mainly made up of wooded and hilly lands, typical of the region and with few industrial facilities.
The land, intended for agriculture, will be exploited in co-activity with a flock of Causse du Lot sheep. The agrivoltaic power plant will be installed on mobile structures called "trackers", in portrait mode, with an inclination of up to 55° and an East-West orientation. The panels will be positioned at a height ranging between 1.50 m for the bottom of the tables in maximum position and 3.50 m for the top.
This agrivoltaic plant, with an installed capacity of 9.00 MWp, will produce approximately 13,135 MWh each year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 2,502 households. It will also avoid the emission of 179 tonnes of CO per year, which corresponds, for example, to 85 round-trip trips from Paris to New York by plane.
