About the Des Moulins Wind Farm

The Des Moulins 1 wind farm is located on private land in the municipalities of Kinnears’ Mills, St‑Jean‑de‑Brébeuf and Thetford Mines, in Quebec’s Chaudière‑Appalaches region. Since November 30th, 2020, Boralex operates and owns 100% of the farm.

The farm operates 59 Enercon E‑82 wind turbines and has a 20‑year power supply contract with Hydro-Québec, awarded after a call for tenders, in 2005, to deliver 2,000 MW of wind power.
