Executive Vice President and General Manager, Europe

Jean-Christophe Dall’Ava is Executive Vice President and General Manager, Europe, at Boralex. He joined the company in 2014 as Head of M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) after several years working in mergers, acquisitions, and development at Enel Green Power in Spain and France.

Upon joining Boralex, Jean-Christophe played a pivotal role in accelerating the company’s growth by leading several transformative M&A transactions. He later took responsibility for teams in charge of greenfield development and energy markets. Between 2016 and 2019, he contributed directly to Boralex’s organic expansion in France by consolidating the project portfolio and strengthening internal development capabilities. At the same time, he deepened his expertise in marketing and laid the groundwork for Boralex’s strategy in this area.

In 2019, Jean-Christophe created the marketing department and structured Boralex’s Europe strategy, positioning the company as a pioneer in the French PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) market. He also spearheaded Boralex’s entry into the British market by leading the first Contract for Difference (CfD) and the first PPA signed in the United Kingdom for the Limekiln Wind Farm.

His efforts have contributed to transform Boralex into the integrated player it is today, with expertise across the entire value chain—from project development to asset renewal, including construction and operations in France and the United Kingdom.

Starting in 2022, Jean-Christophe served as Senior Vice President, Energy Markets Europe, before being appointed Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Europe, in 2025. He now oversees all of Boralex’s European activities and its 300 employees, managing an asset portfolio of nearly 1.4 GW across wind, solar, and storage.

Beyond his operational responsibilities, Jean-Christophe has been actively involved in promoting the renewable energy sector since 2013. He has served as an elected member of the Wind Energy Committee of the Renewable Energy Union (SER – Syndicat des Énergies Renouvelables) since 2018 and as President of the Wind Energy Economic Cluster (pôle économique éolien) since 2022. In 2025, he strengthened this commitment by being elected to the SER Board of Directors.

An engineer by training, Jean-Christophe graduated from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
